Pop Art from North Africa - part II
(Casa Árabe)
“Pop Art from North Africa” landed Spain at the Casa Árabe space, in Madrid, in late 2019. The thought-provoking exhibition continues to confront social and cultural issues within the region and through the colorful perspective of the Pop Art movement, as the novelty from the 2017 London show is in the inclusion of artists from Sudan and Mauritania.

In 2020, during the confinement time due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and while galleries were closed to public, the artists gave a virtual exhibition “Pop Art vs. Covid”, in which they displayed works inspired by the pandemic. The physical exhibition opened later in the year in Casa Árabe Córdoba.
